Initiatives launched by UMBA’s new Board:

  1. Board members discussed the need for more member contributions to the UMBA Journal. All members will be encouraged to share what’s going on in their shops. We all learn from each other, and everyone has something to share. The Board is asking members to send pictures and stories to the editor, Velinda Cheshier, at UMBAjournal@gmail.com. You don’t have to provide finished copy. Velinda will help get it ready to print. She will not be expected to chase stories.

  2. A task force is working on making our library of videos available for sale again. They will select a few of our best sellers to test a new system.

  3. John Biewer is asking for feedback from members on attending the ABANA conference June 3-6 in Saratoga, NY.

New Board & President elected

Three Board members were elected Nov. 9 at Centaur. New Board members elected were John Biewer and Aaron Howard. Elected for another 3-year term was Andy Svoboda.

Following that election, the Board met to choose officers. John Biewer was elected as President. The remaining officers are returning to their positions – Hubert Van De Pas as vice-president, Rick Medd as treasurer; Andy Svoboda as secretary.
